Come join us this summer at Present Place as we host our first summer camp for kids ages 3-5! We offer 6 weeks of fun-filled learning experiences with a focus on early academic skills. Each day includes a mix of structured activity time and self-directed play in our imaginative playroom. Each week follows a theme we will present through literature, arts, crafts, music and games.
Enrich your child's summer months with a week-long summer camp at our award-winning indoor playground! We'll encourage positive social interactions, introduce preschool basics, all while engaging your child creatively.
All classes will be led by a passionate and experienced CPS pre-school teacher, Rachel Marion. A note from her:
Hi families! You may have met me last summer when I did story time at Present Place. This year, I am taking on a bigger role and leading a summer camp. I am a CPS preschool teacher on the northside of Chicago. I have worked in CPS as a teacher for the past 5 years and was a teaching assistant in the suburbs for 2 years before that. I have my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Illinois State University with certification in Preschool Special Education as well as an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language. I love being one of the first teachers in a child’s life and helping them to make sense of the world around them. I can’t wait to use all of my experiences in leading summer camp at Present Place!
Summer Camp Daily Schedule
9:00-9:30 Drop-off, settle in, free play
9:30-10:15 Circle time w/ welcome song, music, movement, books, theme activity
10:15-10:45 Arts & Crafts project based on theme
10:45-11:00 Snack
11:00-12:00 Free play
12:00-12:30 Lunch
12:30-1:00 Games, puzzles, cards, playdough
1:00 Pick-up
For ages 3-5 years.
Must be potty trained and turn 3 by July 1.
We will provide a snack. Child must bring their own lunch. Peanut free, please.
