Grow & Glow: Glow Air Plant Terrarium Night
Grow & Glow is a Friday night drop-off workshop designed for girls ages 10–14, held in the barn at The Garden at Pinehurst Farm.
This special Grow & Glow evening will serve as the official kickoff event for Schuma’s Path, a nonprofit organization rooted in nature, creativity, education, stewardship, and community connection. Inspired by the kind of creative, cozy nights my own daughters love, Grow & Glow provides a space that feels fun, welcoming, and comfortable while encouraging creativity, confidence, and friendship.
Each Grow & Glow evening includes a unique creative workshop, dinner, Plant Bingo, and time to connect in a calm, supervised environment. Activities are hands-on, age-appropriate, and designed to encourage creativity and self-expression.
For this special July event, participants will create an illuminated air plant terrarium using moss, crystals, woodland accents, and fairy lights. Girls will also paint a community garden marker that will become part of the gardens at Pinehurst, helping commemorate the launch of Schuma’s Path.
Dinner for participants will be provided by Ember CT, which will be onsite throughout the evening. Parents are welcome to stay and dine onsite (reservations suggested) or may choose to drop off and return for pick-up at the end of the program.
The evening also includes a fun music and movement time with LED glow lighting. Participation is always optional, and girls are welcome to dance, move around, or simply enjoy the atmosphere.
This is a fully supervised drop-off program with clear pick-up procedures, behavior expectations, and allergy accommodations in place. Families of children with food allergies may be asked to provide a labeled alternative meal or snack.
Each registration includes:
• Glow air plant terrarium workshop
• Community garden marker project
• Dinner provided by Ember CT
• Snacks and refreshments
• Plant Bingo
• Music and creative social time
• All workshop materials
• Take-home illuminated terrarium with live air plant
A portion of proceeds from this special evening will help support future educational and nature-based programming through Schuma’s Path.
