Learn the art of creating smaller, highly flavorful dishes that are enjoyed as courses or that prepare the appetite for the remainder of the dining experience. The tried-and-true recipes we’ll learn tonight are a compilation of the best from the many restaurant menus Chef Richard has developed nationwide. Chef will even serve some wine tastings with a few of these dishes so you can learn about food & wine pairing as well. Discover the importance of layering flavors, essentials of proper portions, presentation and the secrets to “bursting” flavors as we explore such techniques as caramelizing, sautéing, preserving, marinating and emulsifying. Charcuterie Boards are trending so we'll learn how to prepare an Instagram-worthy one for sure. Dishes that we'll learn as Chef teaches us will be White Gaspacho, Grilled Fennel & Fresh Grapefruit with Arugula, Shrimp & Spanish Chorizo Tapas, Hanger Steak with Chimichurri and Scallop Quesadillas with Avocado Corn Relish and Crema. This class will have you entertaining at home in your own kitchen with ease!
