Hot Shop Fundamentals - Level II

This class is designed to run as either a private lesson or with a small group of friends or family. 

Want to start working towards specific projects in the Hot Shop? This class is for the more serious students who have taken at least one class in the Hot Shop and are interested in learning foundational skills. Once you’ve completed this class, you’ll be ready for private lessons to work towards any goal you may have!

In this class you will learn how to gather from our furnace, reheat in our equipment, marver to shape your glass, and sit at the bench to use the tools. You will create four pieces of glass, each varying in difficulty, in order to build upon your skills. We will guide you every step of the way, backing off slowly as you gain more confidence.

We offer this workshop Thursdays through Sundays with a first come, first serve basis. Discounts offered for groups of 2-4 students. Some dates are on the schedule, however we are able to accommodate more times if you send us an email at info@terrapinglass.com

Color palette is limited to opaque red, transparent orange, transparent amber, opaque yellow, opaque lime green, opaque blue, transparent dark purple. This is because these colors are predictable and easy to work with while you are learning the basics.

Class size: 1-4 students ages 7+. Anyone under the age of 16 must have an adult enrolled in the class.

Fundamentals Private Lesson: $100 for 60 minutes

Fundamentals Group: $85 per person, class runs between 75 minutes and 120 minutes depending on number of students enrolled.
