Class Description:
Join us for an interactive bread-making workshop as Chef and seasoned baking instructor Mari Ruck walks you through the process to create two exceptional breads: a Crusty European Loaf and a classic French Baguette. You’ll get lots of time alongside Chef Mari as you learn the basics of bread-making from a real pro - everything from flours, kneading techniques, proofing, baking tips, and much more, in today’s 4-hour fundamentals class. Chef will walk you through a hands-on, step-by-step process to make dough using a pre-ferment to create a classic French baguette, sized perfectly for the home oven. Next, you’ll learn the secrets to making easy European hearth bread – a crusty, tasty bread that is so satisfying to eat. You will also learn the secrets of water and flour and baking techniques necessary to make this incredible loaf. Mari says “It’s all in the recipe and knowing what to do, and when,” and she’s eager to share her tips and techniques with you. Best of all, you will take your own baguette starter dough and crusty European bread dough with you to bake off and share with your family at home.
