Homeschool Art Class First Thursdays of each month @ 11:00am

Join us on the first Thursday of each month as we explore a different work of art. 

The class will include a brief discussion of the artist, art medium or artform being covered as well as a structured project related to the topic. This class is appropriate for ages 5+. 

Cost is $15 / person. Pre-registration is required.

June Theme - Join us and learn the ins and out of hot glass. We will create a suncatcher using the skills we learn about Glass Fusion.

July  - No Class

August Theme - This month we will work with slump and hump molds to create a table top dish. This project incorporates the use of clay and glass stones. For decorative use only.

September Theme - Every wanted to try your hand at Mosaic art? This month's topic will walk each artist through understanding the concept of mosaics and then transferring their design onto a wooden star.

October Theme - Come learn how fun acrylic pouring is as we discuss color combinations that will give the best results, discover how to create "cells" in paint and complete an adorable pumpkin for Fall.

January Theme - Celebrate Winter decorating a beautiful ceramic snowflake. This month we will teach you about the technique of Alcohol 'Ink" painting using pottery glaze. This has such a cool outcome!

February Theme - If you love plants, but struggle to keep them alive, this class is for you! We will teach the concepts of slab work and clay sculpture as we work toward constructing a cute cactus garden.

March Theme - We will decorate a mug by painting with shaving cream. Each artist will have their choice of colors to work from as we teach them how to create a Tie Dye effect with an unexpected material.
