Clay is an exciting and magical material! Our hand-built pottery program is a total hands-on learning experience. Students will create both functional and sculptural artwork using forms such as pinch pots, clay slabs, coils, and a variety of surface decoration with underglaze colors. Come learn the art, craft, and magic of handbuilt pottery! All pottery is clear-glazed after the first firing by technicians to make functional pieces food-safe. Our goal is to have clay projects fired and ready to be picked up 3-4 weeks after the class is held. Once the clay projects are ready, participants have 14 days to pick up their projects.
There will be a snack break approximately halfway through class each day. Included in your camp registration is 1 snack or drink per day. Students may bring cash to purchase additional snacks or drinks or bring their own additional snacks or drinks, if desired. Additional snacks and drinks are $1 each.
