Join us for an exploration into the vibrant world of plant-based cuisine! In this engaging class, Chef Gary Hild will unveil the secrets behind creating delicious and healthy plant-based meals. At 73, Chef Gary is a dedicated cyclist (last year, he completed the 475-mile RAGBRAI bike tour across Iowa), foodie, and healthy cooking guru who can show you that a plant-based lifestyle can be nothing short of culinary medicine. You’ll discover the variety of rich and tasty dishes that use grains, legumes, nuts, and veggies in creative and delicious ways. Chef Gary will cover eating out, recipes, cooking methods, storage solutions, make-ahead meals, and more. And Chef Gary will teach some basic culinary skills as he walks you through some of his favorite and incredibly delicious plant-based recipes like Sweet Potato & Poblano Soup, Mushroom Medley that includes a lesson on making Cashew Cream. Plus, an interesting Moroccan Tofu & Lentils dish, and creamy, dreamy Vegan Chocolate Pudding for a sweet ending. Plus, you’ll take home the recipes for these gems so you can incorporate them in your own kitchen on your quest for a healthier lifestyle.
