Acrylic Painting - Teens and Adults

Ages 13 and older

8/13 - 8/16, 6:00pm - 8:00pm, cost $125 + $25

We are offering a 4 day Acrylic Painting art camp for students who are 13 and older. Students will learn about acrylic painting through the eyes of different artists. Acrylic paint is a very versatile medium. It can be used in thin washes like watercolors or in thicker strokes similar to oils but with a quicker drying time. Acrylic painting introduces the beginning art student to the basics from how to handle the paint and its tools to introducing techniques used by professional artists to produce beautiful paintings. We use the layer method of teaching acrylic painting, using some step-by-step instructions. Students will be inspired by Kahlo, O'Keefe, Van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso and many others.
