Back by popular demand! One of the lowcountry favorites…. Sweet Grass Baskets. Now it’s YOUR turn to learn how these beautiful pieces of functional art are created. While learning basic techniques and developing your own basketry skills, your instructor will guide you while also sharing the history and stories of the lowcountry and Gullah heritage. During this workshop several basketry techniques will be identified while students create their own basket using grasses and other natural found objects native to the lowcountry.
