Father's Day Electronics: Mini Amp

Special Father's Day Class!

Learn basic electronics and soldering skills together while making a cigar box amp for dad to play his favorite tunes!  After class, enjoy a lunchtime cookout!

Age 14+  (Please indicate age of minors in the "Attendee" section on the registration form)

    The student pair will receive a low-power amp kit containing all electronic components, auxiliary cable, cigar box, and adapter. Students will have an introduction to soldering basics which will include learning about soldering equipment, proper use, and safety. Dads and their plus one will practice soldering and tinning leads before tackling the amp kit.

       Students will get a short introduction to the electronic components used in the kit and a rough idea of how they work in the circuit.

       Together, students will solder their low power amp kit and test it out using the auxiliary cable and adapter with their phone. Dad gets to pick the music!

       A guitar and input cable will be available if a student would like to test their kit as an amplifier.

      Once all connections are considered good, the students can secure the built amp kit into the precut cigar box enclosure for dad to take home!

Ticket details:

*One ticket includes Cigar Box Amp (constructed by a pair of students together) and 2 seats at the Father's Day Cookout from 12-2p* Do you have an extra friend or family member that would love to join the cookout but isn't quite up to the entire class?

Additional tickets to the cookout are $25 per adult (10+) and $10 for children under 10 HERE.

The cookout will take place from 12-2p with additional activities 

Activities may include VR, card making, ping pong, and more. Activities are subject to change.
