World Of Wonder Science: May

Topic: Materials Science & Structural Design
This month students will learn about the special properties of different materials. During the first two sessions, students will investigate the strength properties of materials as they build and test bridges made from different kinds of materials. During the last two weeks, students will test materials for their thermal properties. Using their knowledge, students will design and build a model house suited for a given climate.
*Pre-registration for students in grades 4–8 is required.
