Come and learn to draw and paint the landscape in the great outdoors! Plein air painting camp teaches the fundamentals of color, color mixing, sketching, painting technique, creating the illusion of depth, and exploring composition ideas. Nothing teaches an artist more about color and light than to observe it first hand outdoors. Destinations will be 10-20 minutes away from the art center, using the Rum River Regional Trail to find a perfect spot along the river. Students will create in graphite, sharpie, watercolor, and acrylic. In case of inclement weather, class will be held in the studio.

Students need shoes for walking and a bag/backpack to carry their things. Sunscreen and a water bottle are highly recommended.
