Brushstrokes of Hope Program
Hammar’s Studios is excited to announce the Brushstrokes of Hope program, created to empower youth aged 10-14 in New Hampshire through the transformative power of art! This program will provide essential tools to help children navigate life's challenges and build self-confidence, personal growth, and community connection. Participants in the one-day workshop will enjoy engaging, therapeutically-informed art activities AND become eligible for ongoing free weekly Brushstrokes art classes and community mural projects. Thanks to a grant, we're able to offer this workshop free for NH residents while funding is available.

Program Details:
Eligibility: Kids aged 10-14, current New Hampshire residents.
Structure: One-day workshops, offered at our Salem, NH studio.

How to Register: Registrations are completed online through our website: HammarsStudios.com under the EVENTS page. All information collected follows our Company’s privacy and safety policies.
Dropping off / Picking Up: Drop off is permitted 10 minutes prior to the start of the program (9:20am) and pick up time is at 2:30pm. We will be working up until the completion of the scheduled program so early pickups can not be permitted. Please feel free to wait in our studio gallery area until completion of the workshop. Parents/Guardians will be asked to show a valid NH License or Id at time of drop off.
How to find the Studio: We’re located within the Mall at Rockingham Park next to Dick’s House of Sport on the 1st floor. Easiest access is to park at the first floor Mall Entrance next to Dick’s House of Sport.
Lunch Break:
A Pizza Lunch IS INCLUDED in this workshop, complimentary.
It's optional for you to send your child in with additional snacks or lunches.
Please send your child in with a nut free lunch and beverage in a DISPOSABLE bag / DISPOSABLE water bottle. During the program we will be producing multiple art projects and need cleared table spaces and free arms to carry artwork home at time of pickup.

How many times can my child attend a Brushstrokes of Hope Workshop?
Children may attend one time per year for the 1 day workshop. Participating in the 1 day workshop is a pre-requisite to register for the Brushstrokes weekly art classes. Validation of the 1 day workshop expires 1 year from workshop date.
How do I register my child for the Brushstrokes of Hope program? Families are required to register through our website. Choose the Salem, NH Studio and view available times under Workshops.

Is there any cost involved in enrolling my child in the program, or is it completely free? This program is completely free to NH Families because it’s funded through a grant program.
Will you be offering this program at any other places in the community? YES! Brushstrokes of Hope is partnering with local public schools, private schools, community centers, & clubs that support youth ages 10-14.

When and where are the workshops held, and how long is each session?Brushstrokes of Hope programs are offered monthly at Hammar’s Studios in Salem, NH and at select schools and community centers. Sessions range from 3 hrs - 5hrs.
My child really enjoyed the B.O.H workshop and is interested in a community engagement project, how do we sign up for that?Send us an email with your information and your child’s name, age, and town in NH so we may add you to our projects contact list and you will be notified when there’s an upcoming project to participate in. What kind of art activities and topics will my child be engaged in during these workshops?
Participants will create canvas paintings, vision boards, self portraits and other visual arts activities.
Are there any prerequisites or additional requirements for enrollment?
- Participants must be between ages 10-14.
- Be a current New Hampshire Resident.
- Optional: Participate in a brief entry and exit survey.
