- Water is always complementary! Cold and filtered still and sparkling are on tap. Campers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle.
- Lunch and snacks - they'll eat what they make and bring home the rest to share (if there is any!)

Dietary Note: The recipes contain gluten, dairy, meat, and eggs. Substitutions are not available.
Skills Covered
- Kitchen safety and cleanliness. Junior Cooks will be responsible for keeping their station clean, stacking dirty tools/equipment in the magic bins, and emptying their compost bin.
- Age appropriate knife skills using a cut glove on their non-dominant hand.
- Introduction to basic cooking and baking equipment.
- Cooking techniques and temperature control: working with raw meat, marinating, skewering, sautéing, roasting chicken, rolling gnocchi, panfrying quick breads.
- Baking techniques: measuring and mixing, kneading and shaping dough, portioning batter, working with phyllo sheets and puff pastry sheets.
The Fine Print
- Kitchen appropriate attire is mandatory. Please make sure your camper is wearing closed-toed shoes or socks and sandals, and has their hair tied back.
- Campers will be having their creations for lunch - our program is designed for the campers to enjoy the fruits of their labour; therefore, you aren't required to pack them any snacks or lunch (yay!).
- It is recommended they bring a reusable water bottle to fill at our water stations throughout the day.
