Hand Building in Clay "Gift Making Mini Series" - 4 Weeks 
October 16th through November 6th  -Adults

As the holiday season approaches, we love to offer a Gift Making Series which is a great time to get some of your handmade gifts made! This class is for adults.

Come join in the fun and make some great hand crafted holiday gifts, or keep them for yourself! The class is guided with projects, and some weeks, you'll have an option to pick and choose. You will create 6 or more gifts during the class series. 

Examples of what you'll be doing to what you'll chose from are: 

Mugs with Monoprinting on clay, Sgraffito or Slip Decoration, Cactus, Succulent or Flower Jewelry Holder Dishes, Jewelry and Earring Pedestal Bowls, Votives and Lanterns, Eye Glass and Pencil Holders, Snowman Votive Light, Textured Vases, etc.

Techniques: This Mini Series will offer a different Hand Building in Clay technique for 3 weeks, and glazing on the 4th and final week. Students will be working with slab and templates. The students will be working with templates, using textures, altering shapes, paddling, cutting, and forming.
 
Kiln firing of your class projects and studio glazes are included in class fee. 

Supplies: Students will purchase a bag of clay and a few inexpensive tools (if they do not already have basic hand building tools). Studio glazes are included, but students may want to purchase a pint or two of glazes if they want to experiment or if they want specific colors. 
New students; bring a small container such as a pencil box, tupperware, or cigar box, to store your tools in. Bring a gallon size storage bags for your clay scraps.
