Intro to Fusion 360 CAD: from hand-drawn sketch to a 3D model

Using AutoDesk Fusion 360 software, turn a sketch into a 2D draft then finally into a 3D computer aided design model design suitable for printing!

Ages 16+
Under 18 must be accompanied by a parent.

Instructor: Carlos Sapene

Learn how to 3D model a medallion, or pendant using AutoDesk's Fusion 360 CAD modeling software. Start from your own sketch or image, or use one of ours.

The class will start with an overview of the software and its commands.   Next, you'll get an introduction to sketching and 2D constraints.  Next, review the basic 3D model functions and create a 3D model design from your sketch.

Bring your own laptop with an external mouse (you will NOT have a good experience using just the touchpad on your laptop with this software) and download Fusion 360 prior to this class.  We have a number of laptops available for you to borrow, if needed, but building familiarity on your own machine is recommended.

Fusion 360 can be downloaded here: Fusion 360; select the Start-Up or Enthusiast (Free) licensing option.

Computer literacy is expected, but CAD/CAM experience is not required.

Class Fees:

Member ($50)

Non-member ($60)
