Join Rumriver Art Center in a unique community-based art camp! Art in public spaces is extremely valuable for a community. Having access to art for free creates equality in who gets to participate in viewing visual art, ultimately creating a stronger connection of the people in the community. Artists will learn how to collaborate as a team to brainstorm their composition for a large scaled mural project. Artists will then sketch and learn basic painting techniques to use acrylic paints to complete their mural. Friday will be installation day, where students will see the final project hung for the public to see. Students will have time to reflect and create small artwork pieces to take home inspired by the final piece.
