Beginner Blacksmithing: Railroad Spike Knife

Special Father's Day Class!

Dads and their plus one will try their hands at knife-making in this intro blacksmithing class while making a railroad spike knife for dad!  Before class, enjoy a lunchtime cookout!

Age 10+ (For special event only. Please indicate age of minor in "attendee" section of registration.)

This basic beginner class is perfect for getting started and seeing what this old time craft is about.We will be concentrating on learning about the tools such as the forge tongs & hammer, and how to use them by making a simple knife or letter opener with an all-metal twisted handle integral knife. 

Please wear natural fiber clothing and closed toed shoes. Also bring safety glasses if you have them or you may use ours.

Ticket details:

*One ticket includes Railroad Spike Knife (constructed by a pair of students together) and 2 seats at the Father's Day Cookout from 12-2p* Do you have an extra friend or family member that would love to join the cookout but isn't quite up to the entire class?

Additional tickets to the cookout are $25 per adult (10+) and $10 for children under 10 HERE.

The cookout will take place from 12-2p with additional activities 

Activities may include VR, card making, ping pong, and more. Activities are subject to change.
