Special Event: Clay Handbuilt Mugs

Class: Tuesday, February 14th, 6-8 pm : Adult/Teen
Always wanted to try working with clay?! Join us in this guided clay class. All students under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Students must be at least 13 years old to participate. 

Description: Participants will use clay to create their very own stoneware mug to use at home or give as a gift. Stoneware is soooo versatile! It can be used in the microwave, dishwasher, oven, or freezer! Join us for a fun class and learn the basics of clay hand building. Guests will use a variety of techniques and tools to create their one of a kind piece. No experience necessary! Our instructor led class breaks it down into bite size steps and will walk you through the process of creating your own mug. This is a group class that will host a maximum of 16 participants.

Glazing & Pickup: Clay takes extra drying time and a kiln firing before it can be glazed. Guests will have the opportunity to stop in Feb. 22-Feb. 25 during studio hours to glaze their mug or you may pick out a glaze color during your class and our staff will glaze them and have them ready for pickup on or after March 1st.

What to bring: Someone special to enjoy the class with and a good sense of humor! We supply all of the supplies necessary for the project.
