Class Description:
Any chef will tell you that there is no substitute for proper knife skills as the foundation for all other cooking skills. We’ve been offering this powerhouse class since we opened in 1998 and interest hasn’t waned one iota! In this class you’ll learn all about knives that are right for you. In addition, you’ll explore sharpening, storage, and other important information, plus learn cutting techniques like chopping, dicing, batonette, cubes, julienne, chiffonade, and more. You’ll receive some important hands-on experience under the supervision and tutelage of 40+ year Executive Chef & Culinary Institute of America Graduate Executive Chef Richard McPeake. This is a must for everyone serious about cooking. Feel free to bring your own knives to this class or you are welcome to borrow ours.

We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. This class is for adults 18+. Children 14-17 years old are allowed if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.

There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class. I acknowledge and understand that I and all parties for whom I am registering will be asked to execute a written liability waiver prior to the start of the class and that this waiver is required in order to participate in the class.
