Class Description:
Our Messy Lab classes are our most popular offering, loved by children and parents alike! Designed for babies who can sit unassisted through preschool-aged children, these sessions provide a fun, exploratory, and developmental experience that fosters creativity and learning through sensory-rich activities. Children are free to squish, smoosh, pour, and explore in an open and safe environment, encouraging social interaction, communication, fine motor skills, and gross motor development.
The Importance of Messy Play:
Messy play is more than just fun—it’s a critical part of early childhood development. Engaging with different textures, materials, and sensations stimulates sensory processing, strengthens neural pathways, and supports cognitive growth. It also helps children develop problem-solving skills, confidence, and curiosity about the world around them. Plus, the freedom to explore messy materials without limitations fosters creativity and encourages self-expression.
What to Bring:
Be sure to dress your child in clothes that can get messy—embracing the mess is part of the magic! Bringing a change of clothes is a good idea, too. We use food-safe materials in all activities, but if your child has any allergies, please note them on the participant waiver and inform us directly so we can accommodate their needs.
Join us and see why families keep coming back to this fun-filled, enriching experience!
Weekly themes:
Sensory themes change weekly and every Sunday class is our SENSORY FRIENDLY SUNDAY! :) Sensory Friendly Messy Lab is all of our favorite parts of our popular Messy Lab class, but with the over-stimulating components turned down for our neurodiverse friends. That means low lights, low sound, low class sizes, but still packed with messy fun!
Notes:
Registration is only needed for our little artists. No purchase is necessary for their grown-ups, however adults must stay and play.
