Join us for an exciting opportunity, regardless of your experience or skill level, to test your bias and your palate while guessing at classic wines!
This is also an excellent class for studying sommeliers and wine professionals to hone their blind tasting skills.
The ‘Wine Capital of Canada’, Oliver is home to nearly half of British Columbia’s vines and more than 40 wineries. To the west, the Golden Mile Bench soaks up the morning sun making it ideal for white wines such as Pinot Gris and Chardonnay, and bright fruity reds like Cabernet Franc. To the east lies the Black Sage Bench which basks in the afternoon sun and cultivates powerful red wines and full-flavoured whites.
Mia, our certified sommelier, will guide you through a blind tasting of the common varietals found in the Oliver wine region: merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, pinot gris, and chardonnay.
