Class Description:
Cooking at home for (or with!) friends is its own kind of dining experience! This class features a menu that is not only 'do-able' at home but will have you looking like a pro! Experienced Culinary Instructor and Executive Chef Richard McPeake will walk you through the steps to create this elegant upscale menu centered around Lobster Risotto, We'll start with a glass of wine and Chef will teach you helpful culinary tips and techniques for dishes such as Italian Minestrone, Classic Caprese Salad and of course the outstanding entrée of a fancy-schmancy Butter Poached Lobster with a Flavorful Risotto. Folks, it's simpler than you think but oh boy, what a presentation it makes! You'll get to work in small groups with Chef McPeake this evening for a bit of hands on experience too! Guests love dessert so Chef will teach you one of his favorites: Lemon Mascarpone Cream Tart with Cassis-Soaked Berries – so decadent and delicious. What a fabulous way to unwind in this Friday night class filled with a show stopping menu and lots of Chef McPeake cooking time.

Prior to registration, if you or any member of the group for which you are registering is under 18 years of age at the date of the class, please contact The Culinary Center of Kansas City at cook@kcculinary.com or 913-341-4455 to determine whether admittance to class will be allowed. There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class.
