Kids Adult Class

Special Event: Glass Wall Pocket Vase

Learn a new art form and create new memories and keepsakes. In our class, students will have access to a full-range of colors and the artistic freedom to create a custom piece. No experience is necessary. Your instructor will guide you through every step of the process as you create your one of a kind glass wall pocket vase using glass pieces to design and decorate.

Glass fusing is the process of creating objects with glass by heating them in a kiln.  Participants will learn how to use various tools and how to score and break glass to create a custom piece. The design is not predetermined. Guests are welcome to search through a variety of designs on Pinterest for ideas. Our instructor will review design ideas and make suggestions to help accommodate, please note some designs on Pinterest are more advanced and may not be doable in this beginner class. Please have a couple of options in mind and be willing to be flexible.

*Glass is expensive, some colors are more than double the cost of others. We try to keep our class prices as reasonable as possible and ask participants to use the more expensive colors as accents. If you would like to use a larger amount of the more expensive colors, we do offer the option of a slight upcharge (based on usage) to offset the cost.

Requirements: Participants must wear closed toed shoes, and safety glasses (provided). Loose, long sleeves are not recommended. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Minimum age requirement is 12 years old. No children or babies are permitted to attend. Due to the nature of the project no food items are allowed to be consumed in the classroom during this class.

Pick up: Items will be kiln fired and ready to pick up one week after the class.  This class will host a maximum of 10 students.
