Description:
You know the great thing about kids? They aren't afraid to let their creativity shine! In fact, they welcome the opportunity to delve into sculpting, take a crack at painting, and develop a keen eye for color, composition, and design all while creating beautiful pieces of art.
Nurturing a child's natural artistic inclination does more than fill the front of your fridge with one-of-a-kind masterpieces. It also builds self-esteem as young ones learn to analyze and problem-solve. When kids are given the chance to try out their own ideas, and then make changes based on what they want the result to be, they develop confidence. Confidence that bleeds into their social, academic, athletic, and artistic pursuits.
Your budding artist will paint with tempera & glitter paint, tie dye their own Camp Backpack, sculpt, and create mixed media projects. We will make our own ice cream together and even create a Watermelon Piñata!
This box includes 9 activities that can be created multiple times plus some fun summer toys to play with (and sprinkles for an Ice Cream treat). Most activities are designed so that children can be self sufficient but safety always comes first, so please supervise. This camp allows for ultimate creativity so let's celebrate summer together! Parents and campers alike agree that this unique program is an ideal blend of fine arts education and creative fun.
What to provide:
- A Creative Space. It would be ideal for your child to create where they can get messy. There will be a 24"x24" table cover provided that will help catch spills.
- Paper towel or Baby wipes. Baby wipes are one of our favorite art supplies as they are helpful for cleaning up messes, paint brushes, and even little hands.
- Water. We will need a small amount of water on Day 1 for the water bead set-up (dish is provided). It would also be helpful to have a small dish of water for your child to rinse out the paint brush as needed throughout the week.
- Heavy Cream & Ice Cubes for Day 5 (vanilla extract optional for flavor) if you want your child to create their own Ice Cream with us. The rock salt, dish, baggies, and even the lovely Sprinkles are provided. If they are dairy free, feel free to provide the appropriate dessert and they can add the sprinkles as we celebrate our Summer together.
- Any additional items your child would want to use from around your home like additional glitter, Pom Pom balls, feathers, etc, please feel free to add those to their creative space.
Siblings? Let us know how many children and their names at check out so that their box can be customized for them. Each box comes addressed to your child (or children) so please include their name at check-out
