Working at Clay Corner Studio is exhausting. I tell this to everyone who applies and I don't think it really sinks in. It is not like a cashiering job where you just leave at the end of the shift. There are projects that have to be followed through with, information that has to be learned, kilns that have to be loaded, even if it means staying past your scheduled shift. Working in my store is hard and I expect a lot from my employees. Flexibility is a must. I set the bar very high because I truly believe that we are capable of doing much more than most people expect of us. The rewards are great too. I give raises, discounts, you earn tips and we do treats as a staff. You will have the opportunity to earn a lot of responsibility at a young age if you work hard. It is demanding, but worth it.
I am not trying to scare you off, but I want to be very clear about what I need because I don't want someone who thinks of it as just another job or a fun, relaxing place to work. It really is a commitment.
