CNC Router Basic Training *OLD*

This 4hr training covers software and hardware setup and use for the Forge's CNC router.  Each student will walk through the entire process of taking a file for a personalized sign and processing it through CAM functions in Vcarve.  Please note that the purpose of this class is to learn to use the software and machine and apply this knowledge to your own projects.  The personalized sign, while it will be completed, is mainly for demonstration.

*VCARVE IS A PC ONLY SOFTWARE, TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS CLASS, YOU MUST HAVE A PC COMPUTER OR LAPTOP*  The Forge does not have loaners at this time.

This training will cover both Vcarve software and setup & operation of the hardware.  After this training session, students will sign up for "buddy cuts" via the Forge's Shop Hours Calendar to cut their custom sign designed in the class.  3 buddy cuts are required for members to be cleared to use the CNC Router table unsupervised.
