In this 1.5 hour class, you will learn pickling techniques and experiment with a variety of seasonal fruits, veggies, herbs, and vinegars to find flavor combinations you love. All fruits, veggies, and herbs are grown at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm and are chemical-free.
- Chef Mark will describe and demonstrate quickaling and pickling techniques. He will talk about flavor combinations of various herbs, veggies, fruits, vinegars, and spices.
- Taste 3-4 demonstration recipes and then try it out yourself!
- Each participant will get to select their own mix of 4-5 farm-fresh herbs, fruits, and veggies and a few types of vinegar to experiment with.
- Taste along the way, take home what you make, and get the base quickaling and pickling recipes to take home with you.
No cooking experience necessary.
We will have hot coffee and tea, and cold water available, Feel free to bring nonalcoholic beverages with you.
