This is an advanced class in the foundation series. In this class students will go deeper into the elements of art through drawing and painting with a variety of materials and themes. Each class students will learn about an artist and their way of creating and use that as inspiration for their own artwork. Students will explore drawing and painting from still life, learning about perspective, delving into portrait and figure drawing and more. They will get to explore a variety of art materials to use in their projects: pencil, charcoal, pastel, colored pencil, watercolor, acrylic and more. Each week will be packed with fun information and creative learning of the elements of art: color, form, line, shape, texture and value. This is a fun class where students learn about art history and the elements while creating their own unique artwork.
*Foundation of Drawing 8 week course is a prerequisite
