Class Description:
Today’s incredible instructor, Chef Sandy DiGiovanni, is a name many KC-area foodies may recognize. Sandy was a finalist on NBC’s “America’s Next Great Restaurant” in 2011, and has cooked and taught the culinary arts in the KC area for decades. This delightful, energetic and talented chef was raised by a restaurateur mother and a baker father. As she says, she was “born with silver measuring spoons in her mouth and wrapped in swaddling aprons” and therefore destined to be in the kitchen. Today Chef Sandy will teach us some of her favorite Italian recipes. Chef Sandy believes that food is not just fuel in Italian culture – it is an intimate act meant to be shared with cherished friends and family. 

Your outstanding meal today begins with savory Baked Homemade Ricotta on crusty grilled bread, then moves on to a sensational Arugula, Pine Nut, Pecorino and Pear Insalata. Our entrée is Beef Stroganoff Italian-Style Braised Short Ribs with Mascarpone that’s served creamy Wild Mushroom Risotto as your perfectly paired side. Finally, we’ll end the day with a captivating finale – Honey and Fennel Cake served with Espresso Liqueur. This will be a day of fantastic Italian cuisine!

• We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
• Family Friendly (9+): All ages 9 and up welcome. Each child below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Please let us know if you plan to bring a minor.
• If (a) you’d like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes. If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
