Drawing Outside the line is a class about exploring new ways of creating with paint, magazines, found objects, glue and scissors. Students will learn about 5 different artists, their style of creating and a bit about their lives. Students will be inspired by artists Alma Thomas, Tamera Jaeger, Stuart Davis, Katia Bulbenko and Annegret Soltau . We will explore expressive painting, cut and ripped collage and assemblage. This class helps open you up to new ways of creating and growing as artists. We will create together, laugh together and learn from each other.
Materials will be supplied, but students are asked to gather paint brushes, scissors, glue, magazines, needle and thread and things to assemble.
Students will pick up all class supplies at the art center (Suite 103) or we can ship them to you ($18.40 priority shipping). You will receive an email when supplies are ready for pick up.
