MOM & ME Painting Event:  LAKE SCENES

(Especially Designed for Parents or Grandparents to Bring a Child to Paint with them)

Share a Canvas OR Each Person Can Paint Their Own!

(Adults Can Bring Children Ages 9 & Up to this One)

Beginner? --No worries.  Susan (our studio owner & professional artist) will lead everyone through each step of the painting process even though they'll have lots of options along the way (including the colors of the sky, types of trees & other details)!  

Cost?  For this event, Enjoy a Reduced Price of $25 per canvas (including paint supplies).  We'll use acrylics on an 11" x 14" stretched canvas.

Sharing vs. Individual Canvases:  We recommend each person having their own canvas; however, for this special event an adult could allow 1 child to share a canvas with them.  (If an adult brings 2 children, a minimum of 2 canvases is needed and the adult could assist both children.)  It's very important for the child & adult to paint at the same pace so the child does not finish earlier than the adult.  

Age Group?  Adults May Bring Children Ages 9 & Up, but please be sure the child can stay attentive through a 2 hour class.  (You may leave when you finish even if it's earlier than 2 hours.) Children Must be Accompanied by a Participating Adult to attend this event.

Be sure to select the correct # of canvases your family will need.  (Sorry, but adults cannot stay to just watch--every person staying must paint with us.)  

Can we Bring Our Own Drink? You're welcome to bring a water bottle with a secure lid.   No other drinks please.  (Water is easier to clean up after accidental spills & less damaging if it gets on the paintings.)

Make your reservation at least 48 HOURS in ADVANCE (by June 10).  Reservations will close earlier if our available space fills sooner.

Do you accept credit/debit cards? You may use a credit/debit card IF you choose to pay online as you make your reservation.  Or if you prefer to pay at the event, you'll need exact cash or a check please.  (Just be sure you check the appropriate box if you choose to pay cash or check at the event.)

Parking?  Free & unlimited Parking in the huge Parking Lot between the studio and Lyman 1st Baptist Church.  (Only 2 hour free parking along the sidewalk in front of the studio, so you could use that option to unload people before you go park if you prefer.)

COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS:

1.   Please do not come early to class.  (We need time before & between classes to clean & set up supplies for class.)  Doors will open no earlier than 10 min prior to each class.  Please make sure other people bringing your child to class are aware of this policy, so they will not have to wait outside in the heat or rain.

2.  For safe distances in the classroom, Please remain in the lobby unless Susan has invited you into the classroom space.  Maintain safe distances while in the lobby.  

3.  We provide Hand Sanitizer as you Enter & Leave the Lobby as well as soaps at our sinks in the back.  

4.   We use 5' tables and normally seat 2 people per table; however, an adult may be able to sit with 2 children from their own family at 1 table -- or 1 child may be able to sit between 2 adults from the same family.  Please be sure to answer all the questions so we can plan our seating.

5.  Please do not bring children or adults to class if they have had a fever in the previous 48 hours.
