Do you know your way around a wine label? Can you navigate a wine list at a restaurant? Join Wine & Spirit Education Trust diploma graduate Chef Jenifer Murray for a two-week overview of wines from around the globe. During this two-week discussion and tasting, explore staple wines of the Old World and novel creations of the New World. Compare style and character as you taste representatives of both worlds and explore classic pairings. You’ll uncover the influence of terroir and the logic behind the phrase: “If it grows together, it goes together.”
During the first week, discover the intricacies of Old and New World wines by comparing wines of the same grape varieties from different regions and produced in unique styles.
Come back for week two once you’ve established a basic understanding of the subtle differences between wine styles to introduce new flavors and explore best practices for pairing wine and food.
