Class Description:
For this Spring Break 2024, experienced instructor Susy Lara has designed a series of cooking classes for budding chefs to experienced foods from around the globe. Susy has been teaching kids classes at CCKC for many years and always gets rave reviews from her students. She's also a second-grade teacher so she's had tons of experience in the classroom! Our global journey begins south-of-the-border in Mexico. Kids will learn how to prepare authentic Green Enchilidas with Tomatillo sauce, Mexican Rice, Pico de Gallo with tortilla chips, delicious Tres Leches Cupcakes, and more! The kids will learn lots of basic cooking techniques and fundamentals like knife skills, measuring, mixing, and more. And here’s the bonus – they will have the recipes and the know how to make these dishes at home. This class includes a delicious lunch that the kids will make.

• We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
• This class is designed and taught for kids ages 9-14. By registering your child you are telling us that your child will be at least 9 years old as of the class date. We reserve the right to check the age of your child. Should we find that they are younger than 9, they will not be able to attend this class and no refunds will be given. Children do not need to be accompanied by an adult, but adults are welcome if they purchase an additional seat in the class and are attending with a child.
• If (a) you and/or your child would like to sit with another registered guest, or (b) have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know in the Comments section of your registration after reading our full description of policies and information about classes. If you've registered with other people on the same order, you will automatically be seated together.
• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
• For kids attending this class, we require A Waiver signed by parent/legal guardian prior to admittance to this class: [Click here to download the Waiver] Note that the Waiver requires that you provide (1) a phone number where you can be reached during the class if necessary and (2) name(s) of any additional people who are authorized to pick up the child after class. We encourage you to print off a copy of this Waiver, sign it, and bring it to class with your student. Without an appropriately signed Waiver your child will not be allowed to attend class. We are sorry but we cannot make any exceptions to this rule. Also note that If someone other than the parent signs a Waiver, they will need a legal document to be presented that shows without question that they have the legal authority to sign a Waiver on behalf of your child at that time.
• Our Kitchen Shop Experience™ will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
