Class Description
School is back in session! Join us for this fun, family friendly Saturday morning class. We will gather together in the Crunchem Hall Elementary cafeteria (aka, the Culinary Center’s Kitchen) for a Matilda themed cooking class full of fun surprises. Our teacher for the day is Laura Thomsen. Chef Laura is the creative mind behind many of our family friendly classes, making a fun and welcoming environment for families to experience the joys of cooking together. Matilda’s story is full of great food references and today we’re making a school lunch full of throwbacks to the movie. We’re starting with Cottage Fries and Chicken Nuggets complimented by Homemade Dipping Sauces. Next we’re baking Snickerdoodle cookies that will be served with Miss Honey’s hot tea. Last, Chef Laura is teaching us how to make rich chocolate truffles that you can take home. This is a perfect class to kick off your weekend of family fun!

We provide a full refund if you need to cancel more than three weeks prior to the start of a scheduled class. You will receive an Account Credit if you need to cancel at any time within three weeks but prior to the class start time. Please note that any refund issued for classes purchased using a Gift Certificate or Account Credit will result in reinstatement of the original Gift Card or Account Credit and will bear the same expiration date. Account Credits issued for cancelations within three weeks of a class will expire one year from the date of issuance. We reserve the right to cancel a class for any reason, at any time, in which case you will receive a full refund.
Family Friendly (5+) - All ages 5 and up welcome. Each child below the age of 18 must be accompanied by a paying adult.

There are certain classes where 14 years and older may attend as long as an adult also attends with them and as long as we have a completed waiver signed by a legal representative for the child. Without prior approval and a properly signed waiver, any registrant who is under 18 years of age will not be allowed to participate in this class. I acknowledge and understand that I and all parties for whom I am registering will be asked to execute a written liability waiver prior to the start of the class and that this waiver is required in order to participate in the class.
