Class Description: 

Grab your favorite apron (or borrow one of ours) and head over to our kitchens for cooking class where you’ll master the art of delicious pies from scratch! Chef Tarra Freberg is eager to share her tips and secrets as she teaches this interactive class that explores pie-making basics.  We’ll cover fundamental baking skills needed to make a variety of cream pies   We’re also betting that there will be a few “aha!” moments in class as you learn to make the perfect fool-proof pie crust, learn how to thicken cream pie fillings and prepare components for pies with ease.  Every. Single. Time. There will be loads of helpful baking tips like how to balancing the seasonings, how to properly make cooked fillings and much more, plus creative suggestions on how to “change up” these classic recipes throughout the class. Each of the pies you’ll learn today serves a slightly different purpose and lends itself to different preparation and presentation.  Roll your sleeves up and get some hands-on baking experience and the opportunity to expand your baking repertoire!  This is a good one, people….sign up right away!

• For all class registrations made after March 20, your class registration is non-cancellable and non-refundable.  Should you be unable to attend, we suggest that you consider sending someone in your place.  If possible, please let us know of any substitutions so that we can update our records.  For all class registrations made prior to March 20, 2023, your registration is non-cancellable and non-refundable if your request to cancel is made within 72 hours of the start time for that class.

• Your registration tells us that you have read through the class description including the age requirements for that particular class.
• For Adult Classes: you must be at least 18 years old as of the class date.
• Unless otherwise noted in the class description, all Adult classes include one glass of beer or wine. Additional alcoholic beverages are available for purchase. 
• Our Kitchen Shop Experience™ will be open for browsing prior to class, during any breaks, and after class.
