One of the most forgiving and versatile mediums, Acrylic has a lot to offer to artists who enjoy experimenting , staying in the flow and creating visual variety and interests in their paintings. I have been using acrylic as my base medium to gain speed, prior to finishing a painting with oils. In this 8 week course, I will be sharing all aspects of acrylic painting from basic to advanced concepts and techniques that can be applied to painting varied subject matters such as - still life, portraits, landscapes, cityscape… etc
By the end of this course, students will have an understanding of a wide range of advanced acrylic techniques from traditional painting methods such as layering, glazing, color mixing , dry brushing, Opaque under- painting sgraffito to textured palette knife painting, subtraction, thin to thick, all prima ..etc. Students will be allowed to choose their reference pictures out of a curated consideration list and complete around 3 paintings.
