We'll start at Merrill Creek Reservoir, sketching in watercolor surrounded by nature β weather permitting, all materials provided, just you and the view. Then we'll head inside for a step-by-step pastel landscape, painted together side by side.
In between, there's a fun lunch to share, time to relax and reflect, and a little art supply thrift shopping for good measure.
No experience needed β just come as you are. And at the end of the day, we'll raise a glass (or a paintbrush) and toast to ourselves, because taking the time to fill your cup is always worth celebrating. π¨π
All supplies are included, but please bring sneakers, a water bottle, a snack, and a smile :)
Instructor Bio: Local artist Andrea Gianchiglia of Califon, NJ, graduated from the Hartford Art School, receiving her BFA in illustration with a minor in art history. Andrea works as a full-time artist with private commissions of various subjects, but focusing on animal portraiture , as well as an art instructor. Andrea is also a member of the Society of Animal Artists, The Pastel Society of America. She enjoys spending time with her husband and with her three young boys. Andrea is the founder of Create & Inspire, an art tutorial platform she started to share her love of teaching with students around the globe. She also teaches at Makers Circle, and shares her instruction with adults and teens at the Visual Art Center of New Jersey, The Center for Contemporary Art, along with private lessons and workshops both in person and virtually. She leads international art retreats in destinations like Italy and France, bringing students together to paint, connect, and slow down in beautiful places.
