WEEK SEVEN July 31st - August 4th: Joe's Tropical Island (Potter's Wheel)
This week, we are castaways on Joe's Tropical Island! We will craft and clay and paint the days away, with projects inspired by island, beach, and jungle animals and colors. This week will include two session for each camper on the potter's wheel, as well! Projects may include an island silhouette canvas, handmade pots, clay volcano utensil holders, and more! This week is full of clay projects!
Each week of Joe Picasso’s Summer Art Camp will include fun projects like canvas and pottery painting, making mosaics, sculpting with clay, paper crafting, and glass painting projects! In addition to those projects each week has a theme that will include lots of creative games and art activities designed to let your child expand their imagination and learn fun new artistic skills! Campers will engage in 3-4 art projects per day. We start each day with an art journal session where we make sure to teach the campers artsy techniques they can use at home with minimal supplies. Then, we move into the more intense, fine art projects for the day.
$400 per camper (+ sales tax) includes all supplies and instruction as well as supervision!
Need to know:
- Please provide water, lunch and two snacks for your camper.
- Campers must wear closed toed shoes. Sneakers are preferred.
- Clean habits are required. We will be cleaning up and washing hands between projects and breaks.
- Campers age 9-15 are welcome.
- Camper's ceramic projects will be available for pickup approximately 1 week after camp ends. We will send a text when they are ready.
CAMP HOURS: 10am-4pm
Drop off starts at 9:45am
Pickup ends at 4:15pm
- A late fee of $15 per 15 minutes will be charged for pickups later than 4:15pm.
- Prepaid after care is available until 5pm. (Price: $50/week per camper). Aftercare time can be used to complete unfinished projects or be creative in your art journal, but will not include guided art projects, or new ceramics projects.
