Students will construct several simple rockets as we learn the basic physics behind rocket launches. Students will eventually build, test, and launch two model rockets which they get to take with them!!
The rocket launch will occur at the NASA Goddard Visitor Center in Greenbelt, MD on the first Sunday in May.
Grades 5+
Students in grades 5 – 8 can consider this as a significant part of a General or Physical Science curriculum.
Students in grades 9+ wishing to receive high school credit will be required to keep a portfolio of their work and complete extra mathematical calculations.
