Frequently Asked Questions:
Who will be the Chef Instructor?
We have a very talented group of Chef Instructors teaching at The Cooking Studio. All Chef Instructors are highly skilled in their topic area and bring that skill, passion and personality to class.
What About wine & beer?
Wine and beer are available for purchase during class, but of course you must be 21 years or older to be served. Our liquor license doesn't allow you to bring your own bottle - sorry!
What if I have a food allergy?
When you register there's a place to let us know about food allergies or preferences. If you're vegetarian, gluten free or have other specific needs you can also contact us at manager@the-cooking-studio.com with more information or questions.
What if I'm coming with a group and we want to be together?
Cooking stations are for 4 people, so it's easy to have 2 couples working/eating together. Please fill out the registration box asking if you're coming with anyone and we'll make a note of it for your event.
What if my plans change and I can't make it to class?
Just like concert tickets, your registration is final and not refundable. If we have at least 3 days notice we often can give you a class credit for another class.
What are my transport/parking options?
Your best parking option is in the parking garage directly behind The Opera Galleria at the corner of Laporte and Mason. Just come across the alley and you'll see us! If you prefer it, the MAX stop is just a block away.
Equipment needed:
All kitchen equipment, knives, aprons, food, spices and herbs are provided. This is an immersive, hands-on class, and you will be on your feet most of the class (consider wearing comfortable shoes).
Time: Depending on the menu some classes are shorter and others can go longer. Typically classes are 3 hours long. Clean-up is done by the us, so you can leave after you eat.
Materials: Recipe packets are provided for you to take home.
Class size:
Class size depends on the nature of the class and instruction.
