Hand Building in Clay Techniques - 8 Week Class Series Adults

Techniques: This class will offer a different Hand Building in Clay technique for several weeks. Students will be working with slab and templates. They will get an understanding of how to create their own templates, using textures, altering shapes, paddling, cutting, and forming. Hand Building students will be included with the "Glazing Techniques and Application" with the Upper Intermediate Pottery Wheel Class students, which is a great opportunity for all! 
 
Kiln firing of your class projects and studio glazes are included in class fee. 

Supplies: Students will purchase a bag of clay and a small tool kit if they do not already have basic hand building tools. Studio glazes are included but students may want to purchase a pint or two of glazes to experiment with in this class with emphasis on glazing techniques. 
We suggest students to bring a small container for their tools about the size of a cigar box. Bring some gallon size storage bags for clay scraps. Pack a 12" ruler, a couple pencils and a note pad. We will ask students to purchase or pick up some brushes for glazing.
