One bite of a classic pizza combo and fond food memories come flooding back. Why save that special moment for the main course when you can have that glorious moment from the get-go? The holidays are a great time to pull out your favorite appetizer recipes and with these pizza-inspired versions PLUS your brand new mad pizza-making skills, well, Santa might just get something other than cookies this year! Get ready for all those parties and family get-togethers. Ho Ho Yum! Experienced Instructor Richard Sinning, is a pizza-making aficionado and professed foodie and is eager to teach his tried-and-true techniques to make delicious pizza dough from scratch then show you ways to turn that classic dough into killer appetizers. Chef Richard will cover all the basics such as flour, yeast, proper measuring techniques, how to handle the dough, thin vs thick crust, fresh toppings and essential pizza-making equipment like peels, stones, pizza ovens and more. He'll demonstrate how to use the dough to make a classic pizza of course but you'll also learn recipes such as Fougasse (foo-what?), Party Pretzels, 'Santa's Pocketful Of Pizza', Flatbreads and Mini Pizzas! You'll also learn an incredibly simple and versatile sauce recipe that’s loaded with ‘pizza-licious’ flavor. Trust us. This one will have you kicking those store-bought jars and crusts to the curb. Once you’ve learned the basics, it’s time to put on your holiday apron and get to work as you whip up your own batch of pizza dough to take home, bake off and share with your fellow elves. Yes, there will be tastings and yes you’ll take home all the recipes.
