In this 2-hour hands-on class, you will learn how to make pasta from scratch. Make hand cut, hand crank, and mixer-automated Italian pasta noodles; also make ravioli including one ravioli filling. Join the fun in what has become one of the most popular classes at Chocolates and Tomatoes Farm!
Chef Mark will
- Talk about what pasta is and how to select the right flour for the type of pasta you are making.
- Demonstrate a variety of pasta-making techniques (the way that Nonnas used to do it by hand and modern techniques).
- Show you how to make at least two pasta noodle types and ravioli.
- Show you how to make one pasta filling.
Participants will
- Learn how to make pasta dough, various noodle shapes, a pasta filling, and how to fill ravioli.
- Participate in making the pasta.
- Take home the featured recipes and samples.
No cooking experience necessary.
Classes are designed for adults. Teens and tweens may attend with a supportive, registered adult.
We will have hot coffee, hot tea, and cold water available. Feel free to bring your own nonalcoholic beverages with you.
