Skill Builder: Reading and Using Sewing Patterns

The instructor will show you how to read and sew using both PDF patterns and printed patterns. This class will cover how to understand yardage, fabric type, size charts and how to read all those symbols on your pattern! Bring any sewing pattern you're working on and get some help preparing it and cutting out your fabric.

Plan Your Visit

Bring any sewing pattern you're working on and get some help preparing it and cutting out your fabric. All materials and safety equipment supplied.  Students are required to wear closed-toe shoes and long pants to participate, and sturdy footwear (e.g. tennis shoes or boots) is recommended. Natural fiber clothing is recommended (e.g. cotton, denim). Plan to arrive for class about 10-15 min early and check in at the front desk.  Our main entrance is on State Street, with parking lot entrance on State St. as well. IF parking and street parking available.
