Begins on April 23rd and runs through June 18th

The class is divided in to two different levels of students: "Beginning Wheel Students" Level 1: Students will learn the basics of throwing on the wheel and will include wedging/preparation, centering, opening, pulling, trimming, and attaching handles and glazing. The students will work on bowl forms and cylinder forms as instructed. The last 2 weeks of the series is focused on learning how to brush and dip their stoneware glazes.
"Intermediate and Continuing Students" Level 2: (Students that generally have taken two or three of our 8 week class series or have joined us with previous skills, and have the basic pottery wheel skills under their belt and doing well with centering, opening and pulling with control.) Level 2 Students will be assigned skill building exercises, new techniques and projects. Some class assignments will include surface applications. All of this is to keep our Level 2 Students climbing as they progress through their clay journey. The last 2 weeks of the series will be reserved for glazing.
