Calling all Earth Heroes! In our Planet Protectors camp, kids trade capes for gardening gloves to discover their secret powers for saving the world. This week, the farm becomes a secret headquarters where junior guardians learn to reduce, reuse, and recycle by turning kitchen scraps into ‘black gold’ compost and transforming recycled treasures into eco-art. Campers will go on nature detective missions to patrol the fields for beneficial bugs, plant power seeds in our organic garden, and learn the heroic responsibility of caring for our animal friends. By the end of the week, every child will earn their Planet Protector badge, proving that you’re never too small to make a giant impact on our home planet!

Camp Activities:
Storytime Exploration: Each camp will begin with an interactive and exploratory storytime. We will discuss our theme of the day, read correlated stories and poems, sing songs, and explore the farm. We will use seasonal literature to deepen the connection between the campers and Rosewood Farm’s landscape.
Arts & Crafts:  Our arts and crafts curriculum is reimagined as a bridge between scientific observation and creative expression, effectively transforming the entire farm into a vibrant outdoor studio. Campers will treat the landscape as their palette, gathering inspiration from the textures of the barnyard and the colors of the surrounding nature. By integrating natural elements, children don't just observe the farm; they use its raw materials to engineer functional art that gives back to the ecosystem they are studying.
Cooking: Our campers will have the opportunity to create and enjoy farm-to-table snacks using hands-on engagement with seasonal produce. Not only will we be able to enjoy a delicious snack, we will have the freedom and creativity to produce our own themed-snack and enjoy it with our friends!
Game Time:We will focus on developing gross motor skills like balance, coordination, and strength through high-energy, themed games! These activities, such as barnyard tag and harvest relay, are designed to build gross motor strength and coordination while fostering a sense of teamwork and fun!
What to Bring: 

• Sunscreen (please apply before camp starts, full day camp will have sunscreen applied again midday)
• Bug spray
• Lunch (we will be supplying a nutritious themed snack and have beverages available, but please provide a lunch for full day camp)
• Water bottle with your child’s name on it
• Please email info@rosewfarm.com to alert us of any allergies your child may have.

Logistics: This is a drop-off camp, allowing young adventurers to independently immerse themselves in the farm experience. Parents or guardians are kindly requested to sign a waiver at drop-off, ensuring a smooth and safe experience for all participants. Please have your child dressed ready to play and explore! We will be using natural materials and investigating our farm, so we may get a little dirty in the process. This camp will mainly be held outside, so please dress for the weather. In case of inclement weather, the camp will be held indoors.
Important Notes:
On Wednesday, July 15th, our camp will transform into a Farmer’s Market in the afternoon. Campers will have the opportunity to harvest their own crops, decorate their stand, and sell their product! We welcome all parents, family, and friends to come participate and shop for fresh produce (using fake money)! Please arrive by 1:30 pm.
On Thursday, July 16th, we welcome all parents, family, and friends to join us for an end-of-camp picnic! We will have sharable snacks, games, music, and activities. We invite everyone to mingle, enjoy our farm, and celebrate our campers and their hardwork ! Please arrive by 1:00 pm.
