Join the Gizmo Innovative Educators for three lively PD sessions exploring practical ways to incorporate making and inquiry-based approaches in the classroom. Each session consists of a 1 hour initial meeting via Zoom, 3 hour assignment & 1 hour follow-up. PD Credit available (see below).
PRIMARY SESSION 1: PROJECT-BASED LEARNING
Are you curious about integrating more hands-on projects in your classroom but aren't sure where to start? In this session, learn the fundamentals of Project-Based Learning (PBL) and how it can support meaningful, content-aligned learning experiences in the classroom. Use design thinking methodology to prototype a PBL experience for your own classroom, then receive feedback on your idea from a community of educator peers.
This is the first session in our Winter/Spring 2022 Virtual PD series for primary (K-5) educators. Attending all three sessions is NOT required; however educators interested in PD credit may choose to attend all three.
ELIGIBILITY & FEES
This session is designed for K-5 classroom educators. (For information on the same session for 6-12 educators, click here.) This workshop is entirely remote and is open to public & private educators anywhere in the country.
Cost = $10.00 for Idaho public educators / $65.00 all others

PD CREDIT AVAILABLE
Educators who complete all three sessions in the Primary Virtual PD series can receive (1) Professional Development credit through the University of Idaho. Cost is $60 / credit. You must register separately for all three sessions.
