Introduction to Wheel Throwing

Come play in the mud with us and try your hand at wheel throwing! No skills or previous throwing experience necessary. All abilities welcome! Threw in college and haven't since? This is ideal for you! What to expect during this 120-minute session: 

• ​We will walk you through a demonstration and go over the basics of wheel throwing
• You'll then have time on your own wheel to practice centering and throwing a small bowl/cylinder shape (if time permits, you may throw a second piece)
• Class will wrap with wheel clean up

Fine print: 
Ages 16+ 
Pricing is $75 per person, per 120-minute session. Classes are small, 4 people maximum per session. If coming with a friend, please sign up together to ensure availability. 
All materials provided (1 lb clay, tools, aprons, wheels). Your pottery piece will be bisque fired in 10-14 days, at that time we'll call to let you know it's ready for glaze (paint). Come in and glaze during any business hours then we will fire it a second time to a shiny finish. Ready for pick up one week after glazing.
Things to consider before class....trimmed nails are helpful...aprons are provided, but clothes you don't mind getting muddy are recommended (the clay will wash out)...short sleeves are helpful....you'll want to remove rings and bracelets before throwing
